jer went to florida for 6 days for a neonatology conference:
i had plans of a super fun girly weekend, but instead all my girls were sick. blah!
they've been taking turns battling it over the past 2 weeks.
but even with the hacking coughs, fevers & exhaustion, we were still able to squeeze in some fun.
we got lemonade & cupcakes at a cute cafe in pasadena after mya's ortho appointment.
the girls made up the best game!
one person stands in the tall box, the other person draws a long line in chalk. the person in the box has to follow the line by looking down at their feet (they can't tell where they're going).
it was fun watching the box person inch their way around. mya played a trick on wynn & had the line lead into our new neighbor's garage...
we went to the park 3 times. on friday i walked paige & rees to the park, paige rode her scooter most of the way.
we painted from this great book that teaches about an artist & then shows how to do his/her tecnique:
and we cleaned pennies, a little science project that's been on the to-do list for about a year now :)
wynnie did some half & half pennies...
we watched "tangled"...i think that shows super cute.
mya & wynn missed school monday, so we ordered in pizza.
our black cat holly is missing :(
we made a list of things of our california things we want to do before we move.
we found the biggest cockroach that i've ever seen in our house (it was just smaller than the size of my palm!) i was disgusted that it was in our house! i texted jer a photo & wrote "where are you when we need you?!?" killing bugs like that gives me the willies! you should have heard all of us girls scream while we were trying to kill it. :)
we did the practical stuff: homework, practicing, reading, even satuday jobs! rees is fascinated when wynnie plays the violin:
wynnie asked me one night if anything bad had ever happened to me at school, so as a bedtime story i told the girls about the time i got depants in the 6th grade. i told them about jimmy fales pulling down my pants, pointing & laughing with a group of the coolest boys in school. i remember that i was wearing "monday" days of the week underware (and it wasn't even a monday!)
and i finally got back on track with each girl in ways i've felt behind on since i got sick during my pregnancy with rees. we had our little meetings & started projects...it feels wonderful, hooray!
my biggest accomplishment was putting the crib together. it was behind every heavy bin in our garage & then each piece needed major cleaning. but we spent an afternoon with the girls playing outside & me putting the crib together. when i was finished i texted jer a picture & he was super impressed, so that made it all worth it :)
we're soooooo glad daddy's home no
